Isabella felt something soft slip onto her shoulders, rousing her from swirling thought. Reaching up and toying with the material, she realized it was Phineas's coat.
She looked up, and she saw him there, hands still resting on her shoulders even though he was already done. Her heart skipped a beat – was this a sign? - but she still remembered to smile appreciatively. The night was frigid. "Thanks," she whispered shyly in gratitude. She felt her cheeks heat, hoping he could see it in the moonlight and not dismiss it as her being cold.
