Let's see who reads this entirely... leave me a one word comment that best describes me, using the SECOND letter of your FIRST name. It can only be ONE word. Then copy and paste this to your journal so I can leave a word about you. Don't just PUT a word and NOT copy, that's no fun.

Settling In

1 min read
Like the title suggests, I'm just now getting settled down in my new home. It's actually a temporary living situation - we have yet to decide where we want to permanently live, and we'd like to have a roof over our heads in the meantime.

It's nice, I guess, sort of a cross between an apartment and a house - though it is a bit cramped...My sister and I have to share a bed, as well as a room, or at least for now. Let's just say I'll have no regrets about moving on out of here ASAP, and leave it at that.

School starts in a week or two. And if all goes according to plan, we'll be outta this place in about six or seven months.

I was busying the evening away with SWtOR a handful of minutes ago when it started pouring outside. Seeing as I had just reached a stopping point, I stepped outside onto the front porch with my dad so enjoy the storm for a few.

After that, I headed back inside and upstairs to my room. I sat back down in front of my computer, and was about to resume playing SWtOR when I felt...a sudden ache in my chest. Like my subconscious was discreetly telling me that this wasn't what it wanted to do. On instinct, I headed back downstairs and outside, straight into the downpour and the storm. My dad, being the adventurous man he is, decided to tag along with me.

And, I gotta tell you...it was great. I felt this rush of exhilaration, happiness I'd never reached while sitting and staring in front of a screen. Plus, I really did enjoy spending the entire time with my dad. We ran around in circles, stomped in puddles, flung water at each other from streams - Overall, it was a blast. Seeing as the stereotypical dad would have preferred to stay inside and dry, it made me realize how unique of a father he is, how easily empathetic, how similar his tastes are to those of me and my friends. I was finally able to know just why they considered him to be so awesome.

Though you may never see this message...Happy belated father's day, Dad.

There's some journal meme going around DeviantART right now, and I was lucky enough to get tagged by my good friend iamtherainbow.

THE RULES

1) You must post the rules.
2) You must post 10 things about yourself.
3) You must answer the questions the tagger has set for you, and make 10 new questions for your tagged people.
4) You choose 10 people to tag AND post their icons in your journal so all the world will know who they are.
5) You have to go to their pages and tell them you tagged them.
6) No tag backs.
7) No "if your reading this your tagged" stuff.

As iamtherainbow put it, "Vell lets get this over vith..." shall we? This is gonna be a loooong entry...

10 Things About Myself:
1) As my close friends know, I am in love with drawing and writing. One could say I am so artistic it's almost nerdy.
2) Courtesy of my mother, I am so tall for my age it's scary. If we met and I had you guess my age, I guarantee you'd get it at least a year or two off.
3) Despite the many characteristics I share with my mom, people always say my dad and I look exactly alike. More than one person has mistaken us for twin brothers...Should I take that as a compliment? =P
4) I'm a quarter Korean. Most everyone I know calls me by my Korean name, Keean (KEY-an), which translates roughly into "one of nobility".
5) I have no fear of heights.
6) I am a hardcore Star Wars fan. Uh-oh, I've let slip my one geeky flaw!!
7) I absolutely hate wearing my hair short. My parents gave me buzz cuts a few times when I was little, and I remember it being virtually hell for me until it grew back out. :faint:
8) Unlike most of my friends, I am a neat freak. Can't quite picture it? I make my bed every day.
9) Math is my favorite subject. :iconlegaspplz:
10) I've been driving since I was little...I think I'll just let you squirm and try to figure that one out :) And no, it isn't a play on words. I have been driving automobiles since I was a little kid.

Questions by Tagger
1) Would you become one with Russia?

That depends on what you mean. It would be sort of difficult to spiritually "become one" with Russia, the country...But if by "becoming one with Russia" you mean "marrying a girl named Russia" then that's a different matter entirely. =P So no, and yes.

2) What was your 1st ship? (couple)
I don't ship couples. I prefer to stay flexible, learning and thinking about all the different couples within a fandom that I could ship, and even then it's probable that over time my opinions will change.

3) WHAT IS ANSWER TO LIFE?
...the universe, and everything? 42!

4) Does that dress make Prussia look fat?
Who's Prussia?? Uh...no, it looks great on her!! ^^;

5) What's your favorite novel?
Whoa, that's a tough one. There are just too many that come to mind...I don't think I HAVE a favorite.

6) Is there someone you'd do anything for?
My friends and family. I know that's sort of cheating, but whatever =P

7) What music do you prefer?
Rock. Despite the poking and prodding I've received from my friends, pop music has never really been my cup of tea.

8) Whose your favorite artist?
Mary (Idk her last name.)

9) Do like homestuck?
Do I like what now? :O_o:

10) There is a very fat turtle staring at you, what do you do?
:iconglompsomethingplz::iconturtleplz:

My Questions
1) Have you ever been on an airplane?
2) All of a sudden, your pants catch on fire. What do you do?
3) Do you think paying $20,000,000 to pay a visit to the International Space Station is worth it?
4) Is there anyone famous in your family?
5) What's the strangest talent you have?
6) Which shoe do you put on first?
7) What do you tend to think about as you're drifting off to sleep?
8) Did you make any New Years Resolutions?
9) Where were you on December 6th, 1998?
10) What's your favorite season? Oh, is it, now? Cool. Do tell, why?

And now to tag ten people at random.

:iconbrickleberry2012: :iconnastjaart: :iconthisisspata300: :iconmonkeyk99: :iconslime-series: :icontexaveryjr: :iconwhitefangkakashi300: :iconnightlystar123: :iconalerry-phinbella125: :iconcardstone:

Well, that took awhile.

A Long Day

2 min read
Right now, I'm sitting in a main room room of a hotel suite in the city I'm moving to. (I won't give out what city it is...for Internet ID safety. Hey, you never know! ) It's about 12:30 as of now...but thanks to jet lag, and the fact that there's an hour's difference between my hometown and where I am right now, it might as well be 1:30. I really gotta go to bed...I am not looking forward to the long drive home I'll have to face in the morning.

My family and I spent today checking out houses and schools in the local neighborhood. Thanks to some quick decision-making, it went really quick. We were able to sort out which houses we might like from those we could definitely cross off our list of possibilities. The results? We discovered two houses that we really like, plus a high school and middle school that are really close together. Talk about convenience! It'll still take some serious consideration off the pros and cons to pinpoint which house and school to pick, but the hard part's done. :w00t:

If all goes according to plan, I'll be home by Wednesday night. I look forward to drawing stuff and posting it here on DeviantART as I love to do. Goodnight, and peace! :peace:

~Kiwi

P.S. My toes are doing better. I thought about switching bandages, but in the end I decided to just peel the bandages off and let them breathe. At least they've stopped hurting...Again, I won't be getting into the details on that point, at the risk of grossing you out :XD:
